Rewards

Celebrating a successful drive from Greymouth to Queenstown by demolishing a Fergburger. It was just as I remembered it: delicious and the size of my head.

This is my travel journal for my time in New Zealand. I arrived on November 20, 2011 with my friend Chantal, and we embarked on a 3 week mass-tour of the country. In mid-December, she went home, and I stayed behind to take advantage of the rest of my year long Working Holiday Visa.

I went on the road again on January 19th, first heading to Auckland for Big Day Out. I spent January 21-29 in the Northland exploring Whangerei, the Bay of Islands, Cape Reinga, and Hokianga. After that I headed back down to Auckland for St. Jerome's Laneway Fest and to meet up with my friend Danna. We headed south together on the Magic Bus, with highlights being the Tongariro Crossing and canoeing on the Whanganui River.
